Is There Really Such a Thing As Chemistry Free Response Answers?

Is There Really Such a Thing As Chemistry Free Response Answers? Is there really such a thing as chemistry free response answer tests? As in other areas of school, some students find these types of tests necessary for success. When the teacher asks for a free response test and you do not have an answer to the question, you are usually given one of two choices - to explain the answer or not to answer at all.So is chemistry free response answer testing fair? Of course not! That is why these types of tests are used in some schools. In some cases, you will have the option to take the science test over again. This is called a repeated-measures design. This type of test is based on the theory that your score will go up the more times you take the test and the more ways you cover questions. It is kind of like if you are allowed to take more tests than you should, but those tests are not too difficult.Another type of test may be given in which you will do the work during the whole day. In this type of test, there are no breaks for lunch, so the only break you get is if you take time to read the lesson. If you are an adult who is thinking about taking the AP Chemistry free response tests, you should not rush into it. It can be very draining, and time consuming. Take your time, make sure you know what you need to do and make sure you do your best. The great thing about taking an AP Chemistry free response test is that it can help you prepare for AP exams, especially if you are taking them for the first time. Knowing what to do can really help you achieve your goal.So to summarize, the best answer is that there is no such thing as chemistry free response test. The only option you have is to wait until you receive the instruction booklets and start studying!

What to Do to Write a Report Card That Children Will Love

What to Do to Write a Report Card That Children Will LoveSchool report card comments are important for students to reflect on their thought process and think of ways to make their grades improve. It's also important for students to get more out of their report cards since this is one of the most important thing to grade. A report card can be difficult for kids to read and even harder to understand. That's why they usually interpret the whole report through a magnifying glass, while lacking necessary common sense.Well, great news! This guide will show you how to actually write a report card that children will love. After reading this guide, they'll want to write better report cards and they will.Report cards can be a real problem for kids, especially kids who are using the report card for the first time. That's why it's important to use some basic strategies to help kids remember their school report cards and to encourage them to write better reports. You should also see if there are any teachers around to give some suggestions or pointers on what to include in the report card.Writing a report card is easy enough; what's hard is understanding the report. You have to decipher from the description and context what the school is looking for in the report. When you're really lucky, a teacher may be able to help you with that.Parents should also see if the child's teacher has student reports available in electronic format. This is actually an effective way to communicate your expectations to the child, since your child's parents will also have access to it.The key is to use the information that you have available, using a classroom document. If possible, you should include things like what you expect them to include, what they were unable to do, and what you want to see them do.By teaching your child good report card behavior, you will be working with a child that is more likely to read the whole report and carry out all your instructions. That's actually a good repo rt card for your child.

5 Things to Know About Off-Campus Living

5 Things to Know About Off-Campus Living Although we all describe the initial move to college as living on your own, thats really an illusion of sorts. Sure, you may be living without your parents, but it takes a lot more than that to be seriously independent. The dorms may offer you a place of your own, but lets face it they still shelter you from some big responsibilities that truly living on your own entails. Of course, no one lives in the dorms forever. Its fun for awhile, but eventually you get fed up with the cramped space and loud floormates and are ready to move on. Students even recognize the aspects of an actually independent living residence that their dorm lacks. This is highlighted when they express their desire for a spacious living room to host social gatherings, a fully-equipped kitchen to keep them from the dining hall, a bathroom they dont have to share with 30 other people, and of course their own room. And hey, a porch or balcony would be nice, too. The possibilities seem limitless and the ideas grow, leading a student to feel so anxious and excited about apartment life that they barely give any bit of substantial thought to the not-so-fun obligations involved. Dont get blind-sighted by the responsibilities of off-campus living. Prepare yourself by paying attention to the following notes: 1. You will have to clean really clean. If you thought sweeping or vacuuming your dorm room floor once in awhile was what it takes to keep a home tidy, be ready for a rude awakening. Suddenly, the years you spent watching your parents spend hours on end scrubbing the bathroom floors and kitchen counters are going to make a lot of sense. They werent just being nit-picky, these tasks need to be done! At least, they need to be done if you dont want bugs and weird smells taking over your place. And the type of cleaning necessary to accomplish those goals is serious, not something you can coast your way through. Particularly the kitchen and bathroom will need the most consistent attention. Toilets need to be cleaned and dirty dishes need to be washed before things get bothersome. Additionally, throughout the entire place, its amazing how quickly dust and dirt accumulate. Dont forget about taking out the inevitably overflowing trash either. As you can see, great discipline in this departm ent is required to keep yourself safe from a filthy living environment, so buy those sponges and rubber gloves and learn how to use them! 2. Maintenance is required. There are two parts to this. One: you will need to pay attention to how things are working and make sure youre taking care of them properly. This can range from light-bulbs going out, to batteries failing, to your closet door being jammed, to your microwave breaking. Theres no R.A. down the hall with items on hand or a dorm lobby convenience store downstairs. Itll be up to you and only you to get a store and find the right tools or items you need. You will typically want to try your best to solve these problems yourself because otherwise, youll have to pay a certain service to fix them, which brings us to the second part of this: calling and dealing with landlords and maintenance workers. Dealing with making the necessary series of calls, scheduling appointments, being there for the appointments in the midst of your busy class schedule, and then paying the most likely overcharged bill is not a fun or simple process. However, these are just random day-to-da y issues that unfortunately cant be avoided and must be addressed. 3. Rent and bills. Speaking of ridiculously high maintenance bills, those wont be the only checks youll have to write out. The bills you receive may vary depending on the kind of package your landlord offers i.e. something cable or internet may be included in rent. But lets pay attention to that last word rent. Odds are the more services your landlord provides, the higher your rent will be. So, either way, you are paying a lot of money for off-campus living. Electricity, heat, cable, internet, and any other services you would like will no longer be luxuries for you; they are now things you need to actively pay for. Youre going to feel a lot more pressure to save money, and more importantly, get these various payments made in a timely manner. If you are late turning in a rent check or paying a bill, the aftermath is not going to be pretty. 4. Location is not always ideal. Unlike the dorms, apartments will not be so conveniently placed to accommodate your daily routine throughout campus. This shouldnt be too surprising since they are, in fact, referred to as off-campus living. But living so directly on campus your freshman year is bound to spoil you and not leave in the mindset to fully digest what it will really be like to have to make so many long walks. Granted, some off-campus apartments/house are closer to campus than others, and you may get lucky, but even then you will have to adjust accordingly. Make sure you get a solid idea of approximately how long it will take you to get to various academic buildings from your place of residence. This is absolutely necessary for you to be able to get to classes on time, set your alarm at an appropriate hour, and go about your normal schedule with no issues. 5. Socialization will not be as easy. In the dorms, friends were just a few steps down the hallway. Even if you just wanted to be around people regardless of who they were, you could head downstairs to one of the common areas and feel comfortable. Once youre living off-campus, social opportunities wont be so easily nearby. Outside of your roommates and neighbors, youll have to make an extra effort to see your friends who may live more than a few blocks away. None of this is to say you wont be able to see anyone anymore, its just a clarification that youll have to actively get outside of your living space more in order to be around people (besides in your classes). Otherwise, you could very easily fall into a trap of isolating yourself. Living off-campus certainly comes with a lot of the perks you desire, but these responsibilities must be taken into account as well. As long as you move in with a mature manner to handle all of this, you will have a successful off-campus living experience.

A Comforting Thing... - Introvert Whisperer

Introvert Whisperer / A Comforting Thing... - Introvert Whisperer A Comforting Thing My blog followers â€" today’s post is a bit out of the norm for me as it’s not my usual actionable career advice.   Nevertheless, there are a couple of good gold nuggets I thought you might want to consider regarding finding comfort. The company Tommy John (men’s underwear) featured my input on things that bring me comfort in a savvy info-graphic they created. Who can’t use a few more comforting things to make life great!? Here are a few other comfort tips I have to share: Let’s face it, I find great comfort in a good cookie. It’s good for days that are tough and days that are great you can never go wrong with a good cookie. When I’m stressed, I search YouTube or Facebook for cute kittens or animals videos. Any stress melts away as you focus on the immense love you can feel for an animal. On Sunday afternoons’, I like to search for cheesy sci-fi movies to kick back and do nothing but take in mindless content. It’s comforting as it hails back to what I did as a kid. Enjoy! Dorothy

You have the discoveries of chemistry to thank.Radiation - A Great Scientific DiscoveryMarie Curie is the scientist most famously associated with the discovery of radioactivity. Yet, she was part of a team of chemists and physicists who were working on x-rays, radiation, and radioactive chemicals like uranium and radi um.Radioactivity was actually discovered by Henri Becquerel, who was examining why certain materials glow in the dark. He noticed that uranium â€" something we now know to be highly radioactive â€" changed the colour of light-sensitive sheets, even when there was a paper layer between the sheet and the element. He realised that this material must have been emitting something that he could not see with his eyes.Curie’s particular contribution was to discover polonium and radium, and to give the process the name ‘radioactivity’, something that was caused by the breakdown of particular atoms. Her legacy was to put to use Becquerel’s discovery to the purpose of fighting cancer. With kids yoga, yoga pilates, yoga Nidra, and dynamic yoga, for example, there are plenty of different terms you need to decipher before you can choose what to do. You need to choose one particular yoga style, understand how it works, what the rules are, and learn about the history and origins of it, too.Bikram yoga is a blend of exercise for both your body and your mind. (Source: Helena)If you’re thinking about Bikram yoga, you should find out where it comes from and how it evolved into the style we know it as today. It’s worthwhile learning more about the type of yoga you’re thinking about doing as it can really help you to choose the right style for you. This is especially important with yoga because it requires discipline and a lot of techniques you’ll have to master.Where Does Bikram Yoga Come From?Bikram yoga was founded in Calcutta, India, in 1946, to be exact. It’s named after its founder, Bikram Choudhury. He’d practised yoga from the age of 4 with his spiritual master, Bishnu Ghosh. Bit by bit, Bikram Choudhury developed his own techniques which would later become known as Bikram yoga.Bikram yoga needs to be done at a specific temperature and humidity. (Source: TheDigitalArtist )So how exactly was this style of yoga born? Not in the nicest circumstances, to be fair. Bikram Choudhury was involved in a car accident which paralysed his legs. Following the accident, the courageous Bikram decided to carry on practising yoga and managed to drastically improve his physical and spiritual condition. This was all against the advice of his doctors (something we don't recommend!).By the end of the 1960s, he’d decided to create his own style inspired by the postures he’d been mastering from the age of 4 which were mainly from Hatha yoga. This technique, which is known as Bikram yoga, became a global success and people (including us) are still talking about it today. In 1973, Bikram Choudhury opened his first yoga centre in the United States. The success didn’t stop there and there are now nearly 600 Bikram yoga centres around the world. While his accident was inevitably sad, it gave rise to a special type of yoga which renewed an ancient discipline and allowed it t o evolve. While Bikram yoga is seemingly everywhere, it’s important to know what this discipline entails and what a typical session is like in terms of breathing exercises, stretches, and effort. We’re going to have a look at the key details of Bikram yoga, what makes it special, and how it’s more demanding than just simply chaining together a few poses or yoga postures. The Specificities of Bikram YogaTo understand the specificities of Bikram yoga, you need to understand the inner workings of the discipline. Rather than solely focusing on the practice itself, we’re going to try to also understand why and how we practise it. In short, what a typical yoga session is like and how a Bikram yoga session differs! The idea is pretty simple: you’re going to spend 90 minutes doing 26 different poses (asana) and two different breathing exercises (pranayama). That’s not all, though! To top that all off, the room is heated to 40 °C with 40% humidity.Sounds horrible, doesn’t it?Not r eally since the results of practising in a hot yoga studio speak for themselves. The high temperature and humidity are to replicate the conditions in which Bikram himself practised yoga in these conditions which helped him make the physical progress that he did. It’s very easy to get physically and mentally caught up in this type of yoga.Of course, this doesn’t mean that there are no consequences to doing this type of yoga. For example, it’s not recommended that people susceptible to hypothermia take part. If you have any concerns or pre-existing conditions, it’s recommended that you ask your doctor whether or not you can do Bikram yoga as even though it’s great for improving your physical and mental wellbeing, it’s also very demanding. It might be worthwhile doing a taster session before you start doing Bikram yoga regularly.Hot yoga can help you eliminate toxins as well as work on your mindfulness through breathing exercises and challenges. These exercises can help you to bring your body, mind, and spirit together while detoxing and toning at the same time. It’s a way to get into shape while letting go. So what are you waiting for?The Effects of Bikram YogaThe Physical Effects of Bikram YogaThe benefits of yoga speak for themselves: improving your physical health, inner peace, a better mental state, etc. Bikram yoga has all of that while focusing on making sure that you break a sweat. Thanks to the heat and humidity, you’re going to be able to also get rid of toxins through sweating. You need to think about which yoga style you want to do before you get started. (Source: avi_acl)Sweating also makes life difficult for you which, with all the poses you’re adopting, will help you become a veritable Bikram yogi. You’ll be in a better physical condition and you’ll also be able to stay in shape through regularly doing it.There are plenty of benefits to Bikram yoga, even if you haven’t done any physical activity in a few days, as you can balan ce your chakras. However, regular practice is essential if you want to get better at it. Of course, don’t forget to bring a bottle of water!Bikram Yoga: A Complete DisciplineThe first Bikram yoga session might surprise you with just how hot and humid it is. However, by your second session, you’ll start seeing all the physical, spiritual, and mental benefits. It’ll rejuvenate you, making your body feel better as well as eliminating toxins from your body through sweating for an hour and a half.Whether in London or elsewhere in the UK, you should be able to find a Bikram yoga centre near you where you can practise either in one-on-one sessions or in a group Bikram yoga class. It’ll help you lose weight and gain and tone muscles through gentle exercise. It’s one of the most complete disciplines. So if you feel like giving Bikram yoga a go, you’ll need to head along to a gym or sports centre to try it for yourself and enjoy the benefits of this technical style of yoga that has many followers around the world. Between exercise and mindfulness meditation, Bikram yoga is the way to go!Don't forget that if you're completely new to hot yoga classes, you can always look for a yoga teacher on sites like Superprof, where you can find nearby yogis who are looking for a new student yearning to gain a deeper understanding of their body and mind through yoga workshops or tutorials. The yoga community is obviously very welcoming and many yoga studios even offer drop-ins and introductory sessions for beginners who'd like to do yoga. If you can't do Bikram hot yoga, don't forget that there are plenty of other styles of yoga that may also take your fancy.Don't be shy! Everyone was a beginner once and both yoga instructors and other students will tell you that it's never too late to change your life with yoga.If you have previous injuries or any medical concerns, don't forget to speak to your doctor before taking up physical activities such as yoga. You don't want to inju re yourself in the first session! You can run a search online for 'hot yoga near me' to see what classes are available.
